This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all use of the vCFO Services and is part of the Terms of Service.
You agree not to
- Use the Services in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or sanctions program.
- Use the Services if your organization, its parent, or its beneficial owners are on a U.S. prohibited-party list (OFAC SDN, SSI, or equivalent).
- Submit data you are not authorized to share, or that infringes the rights of others.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or circumvent the Services, their rate limits, or their security controls.
- Use outputs as a substitute for required audit, tax, legal, or investment-advisory work performed by licensed professionals.
- Resell or sublicense the Services except under a written partner agreement.
- Interfere with the integrity or performance of the Services or other customers' use.
AI-specific restrictions
- Do not present vCFO output as an audit, attestation, examination, review, or an opinion on the effectiveness of any control.
- Do not present vCFO output as the work product of a licensed accountant, auditor, attorney, or investment adviser.
- Do not remove or bypass the human review and approval step for any external communication or financial action.
- Do not represent a control observation, exception, or variance as a finding of wrongdoing by any person.
- Do not use the Services to make an automated decision about an individual that produces a legal or similarly significant effect on them.
- Do not submit payment card numbers, full bank credentials, government identification numbers, protected health information, or other sensitive personal data. The Services are not designed for and are not to be used with cardholder data.
Security and integrity
- Do not probe, scan, or penetration-test the Services without our prior written consent.
- Do not attempt to access another customer's data or any environment you were not granted.
- Do not upload malicious code, or use the Services to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful content.
- Do not share credentials or capability links outside your authorized personnel.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated breach. Where practicable we give notice and an opportunity to cure; where a violation presents an immediate risk to the platform, to other customers, or to third parties, we may suspend first and notify promptly afterwards. We cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
